A Dodge County woman dies in a single car accident Saturday afternoon after being ejected from her vehicle which had overturned several times.
Captain Tony Winborn tells NewsCentral Dodge Coroner Joe Smith has identified 27-year-old Ashley Grimsley Thigpen as the deceased.
Winborn says the accident occurred at around 2:49 p.m. on Georgia Highway 257 near mile marker five.
Grimsley was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer which overturned several times before leaving the roadway.
Emergency personnel say the victim was ejected during the accident. No one else was in the car with her. She was transported to Dodge County Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The accident is under investigation by Troopers from the Helena Post of the Georgia State Patrol.
