Crawford County Judge Accused of Theft

NewsCentral Staff

A Crawford County Magistrate Judge finds herself on the wrong side of the law, accused of stealing from the court.

Judge Andrea Peterman was arrested yesterday on warrants for fiduciary theft and violating her oath of office.

District Attorney David Cooke says he was notified of possible problems with the magistrate court last week and asked the GBI to investigate.

Cooke says an investigation is under way to determine how much money is missing.
