Court date set for two Forsyth councilmen charged with bribery

Two Forsyth City Councilmen are set to appear in court next week for public corruption charges.

Desi Hansford and James Calloway have a court date set for March 21st at 2:30.

The two were charged with bribery in a three-count federal indictment. U.S. Attorney Michael Moore says they were paid $20,000 in exchange for influence over city contracting work.

Hansford has been a council member for six years, and Calloway serving more than 20 years.
