Cordele Teenager Laid To Rest

A Cordele teenager who was killed last week crossing a road to get to a school bus stop is laid to rest on Sunday.

16 - year - old Precious Burns was hit by a car while she was crossing the northbound lane of Highway 41 on Tuesday morning. The funeral for the Crisp County High School student was held at A.S. Clark Middle School in Cordele. A funeral home employee said more than 500 people packed the auditorium to say good-bye. Burns was buried at Bethel Cemetery in Cordele.
