UPDATE: Cordele Murder Victim's Name Released

An early morning murder in Crisp County is under investigation.
Sergeant Jeremy Taylor of the Cordele Police Department tells NewsCentral, officers are investigating a homicide that occurred around midnight on Tuesday.
Crisp County Coroner J.D. Rainey Jr. tells NewsCentral, the victim is a 39-year Alonzo Smith.
Taylor says the family was inside the home when they heard gun shots. He says they rushed to the porch and found smith concsious with a gun shot wound in the abdomen.
The victims mother says there is nothing that lead her to believe that her son was involved in anything suspicious.
