Convenience store bust nets 75 bags of synthetic marijuana

A convenience store police initially targeted for a commerical gambling investigation has been busted for synthetic marijuana.

The City of Macon's narcotics unit served a search warrant at Fastee Foods on Napier Avenue for commercial gambling, but police also seized 75 bags of what is believed to be synthetic marijuana.

Police arrested 30-year-old Jignesh Patel during the search. Public Information Officer Jami Gaudet says officers also seized over $10,000 during the search. Patel was released on bond.

The manager stated the owner was in india and not available.
