College fair coming to Macon in October

NewsCentral Staff

High school students looking for options when it comes to planning for college will get their chance at a college fair next month.

The Fall 2012 PROBE College Fair will be in Macon on Monday, October 15th at Macon State College from 6:30 to 8:30 in the evening. The fair is free and open to high school students and their families. High school students can speak one-on-one with dozens of college representatives in one central location.

The fair's stop in Macon is part of a larger nine-week tour in which 58 college fairs will be held around the state put on by the Georgia Education Articulation Committee.

“The PROBE College Fair provides a single location for students and their families to learn about a variety of colleges and universities. This makes it easier for students to find a school that meets their needs," said Bill Smith, executive director of PROBE.

Students can also stay informed about this year’s PROBE College Fair by texting PROBEINFO to the number 33233 or on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/GeorgiaProbe. Both options include fair details, links to participating schools and tips and advice for attending the fair.
