Clogged Chimney Leads to Sparta House Fire

Firefighters with the East Lake Fire Department, with assistance from Baldwin county, battled a house fire in Sparta Friday afternoon.
Flames were spotted on Morning Glory Drive. The homeowner started a fire in the fireplace before going outside to do some yard work. A clog in the chimney led to the entire living room catching fire.
