A few pink blooms are popping out around town, and Macon's Cherry Blossom Festival kicks off Friday.
The grand opening takes place at noon at Central City Park. The Fairgrounds open there with tons of carnival rides and food. It remains open throughout the festival along with daily Tiger shows and nightly concerts.
Saturday is the night for Tunes and Balloons. It gets underway at 4 p.m. and runs until dark when they use the flames in the hot air balloons to light them up. There's live music, and entertainment areas for kids.
And Sunday, it's the Pink, Pink Parade downtown. It starts at 3:30 p.m.
There are many other events throughout the festival. For more information, times, and ticket prices just head to: www.cherryblossom.com.
