ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss says he doesn't plan to change his approach now that he's not seeking re-election.
Chambliss, a Georgia Republican, and Sen. Mark Warner, a Virginia Democrat, were at the University of Georgia Monday to speak about leadership and public service as part of the Terry Leadership Speaker Series.
Chambliss announced frustration over partisan gridlock in Washington when he announced Friday that he wouldn't seek re-election next year.
Warner and Chambliss are original members of a bipartisan group of senators working to solve the nation's debt problems.
Chambliss told reporters after the lecture that he doesn't plan to change his philosophy or his methods. He says he will continue to fight over the next two years for what he thinks is best for the country.
