Central Georgia Red Cross prepared for Isaac

The Central Georgia Chapter of the Red Cross calls on volunteers as tropical storm Isaac approaches land fall.

A spokesperson for the Red Cross says volunteers are the most important part of preparing to assist during a crisis.

They've been preparing for the storm since last week. "It's time lined designed to be schedule before anticipated landfall,” says LaTravius Smith a spokesperson for Red Cross. “It's a reminder of triggers of things that we should be doing and should be thinking about at that time anticipating landfall and impact." She also adds that their emergency vehicles have been check and loaded.

Shelters in the area have also prepared to assist the Red Cross to provided service for potential evacuees
