Car used in robbery located, two suspects remain on the run

NewsCentral Staff

New details on a story we've been closely following. Bibb County deputies confirm that a car used in last week's shooting of a local woman has been located.

Lieutenant Sean DeFoe says the 2003 Chevrolet Impala was found around 10:30 Wednesday morning but wouldn't say where.

Meanwhile, DeFoe says the suspects remain on the run. One is identified as 37-year-old Demetrius Scott of Macon. The second suspect is the alleged driver. She's identified as 38-year-old Diana Kennedy.

The victim, 37-year-old Anita McDaniel, was found last Thursday at a Pio Nono Avenue gas station. Police say she was car shopping when she asked two people for a ride from an area sales lot.

During the ride, she was shot by a male suspect sitting in the backseat who demanded money. McDaniel was robbed and shot in the shoulder.
