Danny Glover sat atop a pickup truck advertising consolidation, with his bullhorn in hand.

"Alright Macon, Georgia, it's time to take the city to the next level," he exclaimed.

Glover, like the supporters for all items in Tuesday's elections took to the streets looking for the last push to get the polls to fall their way.

"We're trying to get people out to vote, trying to push the message of consolidation," said Glover. "Hopefully we can pick some people up along the way."

Macon-Bibb Wins Again has been spearheading the consolidation efforts, and said that this election won't come down to just one particular neighborhood or background.

"We're going to hit everything from south Macon, to north Macon, Pleasant Hill to College Hill. Every aspect of the city we are going to touch," said Glover. "The impact is going to be community wide. If you haven't seen anything from this election, you've seen all types of people from all walks of life, all social and economic backgrounds."

While they ultimately want your yes vote, it's your decision and they rather you use it than waste it.

"Of course we want people to vote for consolidation, but we also want people to just get out and vote," said Glover. "If you're for or against it, just get out vote and exercise your right as an American citizen."

When the polls close Tuesday night at 7 p.m., Glover hopes that consolidation will finally be a reality. But if not, it won't be the last you hear from them.

"The thing we have on our side is youth. If consolidation does not pass today, we are still going to be working, we're still going to be fighting to make this city the best it can be possibly," said Glover. "We will make sure Macon is Georgia's premiere city to live work and play, so the fight doesn't end here."
