Cab Driver Robbed At Gunpoint

A Macon cab driver is robbed at gunpoint on Mikado Avenue.

Public Information Officer Jami Gaudet tells NewsCentral, a cab driver was robbed at gunpoint just after 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday while searching for an address in the 4200 block.

Gaudet says the suspect walked up to the cab, pointed a gun at the driver and demanded cash. According to a release, the suspect grabbed the driver's phone, snatched the in-car-radio microphone, a small amount of cash and fled north on Mikado Avenue.

The case remains under investigation.
