Body discovered in Macon hotel had been there extended amount of time

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones tells WGXA a body was discovered at a local hotel on Wednesday.
Authorities responded to the call to the America's Best Value Hotel around 11:00 Wednesday morning. According to Coroner Jones, the body of a long-time hotel resident had been there an extended amount of time. The man's body was found face down in the bath-tub of his room.
"There's no next of kin. He has no family, so I don't know what I'm going to do with this situation," said Jones.
WGXA is not releasing the identity of the deceased. Coroner Jones says it may take a while to contact the man's extended family.
"He was the type of guy that stayed to himself. It's kind of sad we just found out about him," said Shandria Rowlin, a friend of the deceased.
