Blog cites efforts to promote Dr. Dallemand as FAMU presidential candidate

NewsCentral Staff

Is Bibb Schools superintendent Doctor Romain Dallemand's name being pushed as a possible candidate for president at a Florida college?

It certainly looks that way, at least according to the internet site "Rattler Nation." The blog claims there are efforts to promote Doctor Dallemand as a possible candidate for the presidency of Florida A&M University in Tallahassee.

It's important to note "Rattler Nation" is not affiliated with the university, and it doesn't say who is behind the efforts.

The school corporation claims the blog post has no merit.

"Dr. Dallemand indicated last week at the Budget Work Session that he intends on fulfilling the terms of his three-year contract he signed last December. We have been given no notice or reason to believe the Superintendent has changed his mind," said Stephanie Hartley, a spokesperson for Bibb Schools.
