Big Bird Bash Raises Funds For Macon Buildings

Macon is drawing crowds for its latest music event on Saturday.

More than 700 tickets were sold in pre - sale tickets alone for the fourth annual The Big Bird Bash at Central Park. Bands from around the state took to the stage for the one day festival to raise money for the Cox Capital Theater and the Allman Brothers Museum. Despite the chilly weather, organizers hope to attract more than 1, 500 people to the festival. Tickers were $25 and the festival went until midnight at Luther Williams Field.
