Bibb Sheriff Candidates Prepare for Election Day

Polls open at 7 a.m. Tuesday and some voters may still be trying to make final decisions before casting their votes. The Bibb County's Sheriff's race is one on the hot topics among several on the ballot. NewsCentral checks out the candidates the day before elections.
Chief Deputy David Davis shares how he spends the day before elections, "Well we are getting our headquarters set up for tomorrow night’s election returns. We have been out in this community since January putting out our ideas and listening to the public and hearing what they want to see in their next sheriff."
David Davis is one of three Democratic candidates on the ballot for Bibb County Sheriff. He is joined by Bill Lucas, another candidate for the office in soliciting last minute votes their favor.
"The agenda today is to continue to call and get in touch with people and I will be out and about to stores going to houses later this afternoon when it gets a little cooler to make sure that we get our message out.” says Lucas.
Albert Hall is also a candidate for the Bibb County Sheriff, his campaign team was hard at work the former Bibb County Sheriff Department Captain's Headquarters.
Hall was unable to interview for Election Day preps do to health issues.
But Davis and Lucas are spending the last hours sharing what they hope is their future for Bibb County.
"We're still talking to people we are still calling people and just getting so excited. It's an exciting time.” Lucas adds.
"We have a clear vision of what we want to do for this community. Right now we are waiting on people to make their decision.” says Chief Davis
But all the candidates say the most important thing is to exercise your Constitutional rights by getting out to the polls.
Bill Lucas shares his final thoughts, “I want everyone to vote their own convictions." and does Chief Davis, "And that they would come in and vote David Davis and vote Democrat."
When one of three candidates wins in the Democratic General Primary Election on July 31, 2012 or the General Primary Election runoff on August 21, 2012 will run against the only republican candidate, Shawn Fritz, in the November election.
