Bibb Schools superintendent accepts new contract

NewsCentral Staff

Bibb County schools have a superintendent in place for the next three years.

On Friday, Dr. Romain Dallemand accepted the board's offer to extend his employment contract. It begins the first of the year and runs through December 31, 2015. The new deal replaces his current contract, which was set to expire at the end of June.

In a prepared statement, here's what the superintendent had to say about the new deal:

"The decision by the board to offer an extension to my contract demonstrates its commitment to continuous improvements that are outlined in the Macon Miracle," said Dallemand.

WGXA's request to speak to Dr. Dallemand for reaction was denied by Bibb Schools' spokesperson Donald Porter.
