Aaron Leedy

Bibb County Commission Chairman Sam Hart is announcing his decision Tuesday on who he wants to lead Bibb County's animal shelter.

Two finalists are in the running. The first is Sarah Tenon who is the supervisor of the animal shelter in Mobile, Alabama. She's also a native of Hawkinsville.

The other finalist is Richard Rice, the former Executive Vice President of the Atlanta Humane Society. A meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at 4:00.

Chairman Hart will be nominating his choice for the Director of Animal Welfare to the Board of Commissioners for consideration.
