Bibb County Students Face Weapons Charges

Several Bibb County students are facing weapons charges.

A 14-year-old female Rutland High School student has been charged with Possession of a Weapon on School Grounds after she was found with a pocket knife on Wednesday.

Another Rutland High student, this time a 16-year-old male, was charged with the same crime after he was found to be in possession of a knife.

Also on Wednesday, a 14-year-old male Howard High Middle School student was found to have a knife on campus.

The names of the students were not released.

School officials have also charged seven students after a large fight broke out at Southwest High School on Tuesday. Six female students, ranging in ages from 15 to 18, and a 15-year-old male student, were involved.
