Bibb County Commissioner Dispute

Some Bibb County Commissioners have found themselves unsatisfied with the behavior of their fellow board members -- and at Tuesday’s meeting, those feelings were addressed.
Commissioner Bert Bivins was joined by Commissioner Elmo Richardson in addressing what they say is an ongoing problem with current board members.
Both commissioners say that it is inappropriate to directly approach county employees during day-to-day operations.
Though, no specific names were mentioned, Commissioner Joe Allen responded directly to the criticism.
“It’s just something that y’all don’t like. Now, I will continue to do my job, as long as I am in office, whether you like it or whether you don’t like it,” Allen said at the commission meeting.
The board did agree to update their code of ethics so confusion would be avoided in the future.
