Bechtel - Dallemand Hearing Postponed

Rick Devens

Earlier in July, School Board Member and county commissioner-elect Gary Bechtel, along with his wife and son, filed a lawsuit against Bibb County Superintendent Romain Dallemand for violating student privacy rights.

A hearing on the lawsuit scheduled for early Wednesday afternoon has been postponed.

The lawsuit alleges that Superintendent Dallemand posted private information about Bechtel's son on the school district's website.

Bechtel's attorney, Jerry Lumley, tells NewsCentral that the hearing was postponed after the school system redacted the information it posted on Bechtel's son, removing it from the website.
