Beauty show brings a reality star to Macon

NewsCentral Staff

More than 1,500 beauty stylists from around the country traveled to Middle Georgia on Sunday to learn some tricks of the trade and network with colleagues.

Around 90 vendors also set up shop for the first ever "Pro Beauty Show" at the convention center in Macon. The two day event features more than 40 beauty educators including Bravo reality star Tabatha Coffey from "Tabatha Takes Over". The beauty show not only allows people to learn the newest techniques but gives people tips on how to make their businesses more successful.

"We saw a need in the Middle Georgia area to bring education that again can help strengthen our economy and our businesses,” show producer and local hairstylist Beverly Pitts said.

Pitts said the show will become an annual event. The show will continue on Monday.
