BCSO Investigating Two Recent Robberies

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office has their hands full with two recent robbery investigations.

The first happened just after 10 p.m. Saturday night at the Discovery Inn on Chambers Road. The hotel's cash drop box was taken. Two employees were on duty when the suspect entered the front office and showed a handgun. The employees fled to the ear of the building to get away.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing all black clothes, black mask, and black gloves. He was also described as being approximately 5 ft 7 inches in height and weighing approximately 180 pounds.

The second robbery occurred Monday morning around 10 a.m. at a convenience store located at 6024 Moseley Dixon Road.

A black male suspect entered the store, pointed a handgun at the clerk and a salesman, and demanded money from both.

The suspect fled the store on foot towards Pineworth Road. The suspect was described as being approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing khaki pants, brown jacket, and a black baseball cap. He also wore a scarf around his face and gloves.
