Attorney Erica L. Woodford Makes History

NewsCentral Staff

Attorney Erica L. Woodford made history at her swearing in ceremony.

Woodford was sworn in Friday as the first African American to serve as Clerk of Superior Court in Bibb County.

Woodford brings a wealth of legal experience. She's worked as a private attorney until being appointed as judge in the Bibb County Civil and Magistrate Courts.

Woodford beat Linda Tillman in the November general election for the position. She says she plans on making the office more accessible as a resource to the community.
