Arrest made in Pio Nono bank robbery

Macon Police have arrested a man they say robbed a bank around noon on Tuesday.

Public Information Officer Jami Gaudet says 57 year-old Ricky Jackson entered the SunTrust Pio Nono Avenue branch and handed a teller a note demanding money. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers developed leads and placed a lookout on the suspect within the department. Jackson was transported to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center. He faces charges of business robbery by intimidation and a probation violation.
