Arrest Made in Macon Armed Robbery, Home Invasion

Macon Police have made an arrest in a Friday armed robbery and home invasion.

Officers responded to a Bennell Street home just before 4 p.m. Friday. The elderly home owner was exiting her house to pick up her mail when a black male wearing black clothing and a ski mask approached her with a gun.

The woman fled the scene and called 911. When officers arrived, they quickly tracked the suspect to an abandoned house on a nearby street.

The suspect was identified as 23-year-old Givante Scott. He was hiding under the home. His ski mask and gun were also located.

Scott is being held at the Bibb County LEC.
