NewsCentral Staff

Actor and director Tyler Perry has canceled his "Madea Gets a Job" tour over what he calls ticket price gouging out of his control and fraud.

The tour was supposed come to the Macon Centreplex this Sunday. Perry recently announced on his blog his intention to cancel the tour. Perry says this was the last live 'Madea' tour.

"Unfortunately, due to circumstances that I can't control, we've had to cancel this leg of the 'Madea Gets a Job' tour. This is so frustrating! Why are people so evil? Why can't people just get legitimate jobs and stop trying to do the wrong thing all the time? "If they put the same amount of energy into doing the right thing as they do in the wrong thing they could make it. It's so sad," said Perry.

Perry also says there were several incidents involving fraud and people claiming to host meet-and-greet events with him.

The Macon Coliseum box office says ticket holders can receive a refund at their point of purchase.
