Lee Dewyze Claims 'Idol' Title, Fans Gather at Grand Opera House

America has voted, and there's a new 'Idol'.

On Wednesday night's season finale of the hit show 'American Idol', Lee Dewyze was voted as the big winner of season nine.

Lots of Idol fanatics joined FOX 24 in celebrating the season finale at the Grand Opera House in Downtown Macon.

Fans got to experience their own fifteen minutes of fame while posing in front of a professional photographer on the red carpet, and were given free swag bags full of goodies.

Thousands of dollars worth in prizes were also given away throughout the show.

Crystal Bowersox was the Idol runner up.
