A local church sign is causing a little bit of controversy. The Ten Commandments Church in Milledgeville is a family church living off its name. Some of the members and the pastor are promoting one commandment on a sign reading "Gays and lesbians are disgraces to humanity" This statement that we're making on this sign is not anything that we made up. It’s just what God said,” says Pastor Robert Lee.
But Lee says people in the community are having a hard time understanding. “They say that we don't have the right to tell people what god said and that is insane.” Just down the street from Lee’s church is Rhett Harrison Commercial Insurance, Harrison says, although the sign is offending people, He doesn't think that the church is completely in the wrong. “He’s offended certain people in the community but at the same time, he's entitled to his freedom of speech. He’s taken his information from the bible and if you're a Christian, you pretty much believe in that,” says Harrison.
Lee says, the church is not just targeting homosexuality individually but they are against all sins. Lee also says he changes the sign every two weeks and as Monday afternoon, the sign now reads "Most churches are gateways to hell."

Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to convict the world of their sins so that they may take advantage of God'grace and mercy.GOD LOVES ALL SINNERS INCLUDING GAYS "FOR WE ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALLEN SHORT OF THE GLORY". TURN FROM YOUR EVIL WAYS OR YOUR BLOOD WILL BE ON YOUR HANDS. THIS IS FOR MORE THAN JUST GAYS THIS IS FOR ALL MANKIND

(1 Corinthians 6:9) What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men,

He is correct in what he is doing and that's letting us know what God thinks about sin. We are always trying to make God a God of compromise when He is a God that never changes. Times have changed true enough, but is the change in line with God's word? If He said sin (homosexuals, lesbians, fornicators, adulterors, idolaters, etc) was wrong then, He is still saying its wrong now. Preach on Pastor! Get the blood off your hands! If you don't, our blood will be on your hands and you will have to answer to the unchanging God we serve. Thank you for allowing God to use you and having the courage to say what most preachers won't!

God loves everybody but he will send us to hell for your sin with love

@Darien, I presume that your question "are you a christian or are you going to hell?" implies that Christians do not go to hell; therefore, I gladly choose hell.

Ok, I believe that what Pastor Lee has to say has some truth in that all sin is wrong, but what about the deacons that are sleeping with some of the Missionaries in the church or what about the mismanagement of funds that is going on as well. It all looks really good when discussed, but who are we really fooling. If it wasn't for the Gays/lesbians, he'd have NO Praise Team, No Choir, and his membership would be cut in half (Did you notice they are already in a mobile unit). My word, Pastor Lee acts as if he was let out Central State by accident. Saints, let's keep him lifted in prayer. MillyNative45

There is no sin greater than the other. Gays and lesbians are just about as immoral as liars, HETEROSEXUAL adulterers and fornicators, and envious people. Instead of singling out gays with vitriol, why not draw people to Christ with love? That is what Jesus talked about. The Bible does say for a man to lie with a man is an abomination but he also taught fellowship and love for your brother too. Saying that someone is a disgrace isn't a good way to reach out to your neighbor. God wants us to reach out and help fellow man and this isn't a good way to do it.

Just think, two major cities got destroyed by god for all of their sexual transgressions against the word of god. obviously god does not like gays or lesbians. hmm, its a biblical fact, and if you are a god-fearing christian ain't no reason to have a conversation with god to figure that one out, just read his word. man laying with man, and woman laying with woman, or either laying with animals is an out right "deadly" sin in more ways than one. so that being said,, are you a christian or are you going to hell? pretty clear cut case here, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the fact that god has no gray areas in what he said. yeah i agree with the preacher here. i'm not a baptist a lutheran a mormon or a catholic. i'm a christian. think about it.

rebellious children shall be stoned to death by the elders of the city. This is not anything that we made up. It’s just what God said,” Deuteronomy 21:18-21

Well, since it's okay for Rev. Robert Lee to publicise words from (what must be) some personal conversation he had with some god; then, I suppose it's okay for me too. With that, god told me that rev Robert Lee of Ten Commandments Church in Millegeville has a sexual predilection for adolescent boys. Guess that explains the homophobic church sign.

I think people loving is not the issue, but people hating should be the issue. Intolerance of violence I can understand, intolerance of affection I have no problems against.

Wow. How ridiculous. To think, this is the small stuff that makes people hate the Christian community. Nice.

Amen. Go to hell all gays and lesbians. Oh, and buy Florida Orange Juice.
