Damage in Sumter County Due to Possible Tornado

There are reports Monday night of a twister touching down in Sumter County.

According to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office, a tornado is suspected to have caused some damage in the
Oglethorpe Street area with numerous reports of funnel cloud sightings.

At least one tree fell on a house on
Oglethorpe Street, trapping people inside; they are safe tonight.
