Macon Apartment Fire Ruled Arson

A Macon apartment fire that left six families homeless has been ruled an arson.

Macon Police Department Public Information Officer Sergeant Zachary Self tells FOX 24 News, the fire that broke out last Sunday at the Walnut Hills Apartments on Merriwood Drive has been ruled an arson. Self says six families were burned out of their homes.

Anyone with information or anyone who can identify the person responsible for starting the fire can call Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.

You can also call The Georgia Arson Control Hotline at 1 (800) 282-5804 where you could receive up to a $10,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for arson.
