I don't see the crime rate going down. I see the numbers rising. I think that they just want us to feel safe even though the rates seems to be rising. If parent's would get involved with their children then maybe it would not be so rough out there. These kids are just looking for someone to give them son attention. Get with it parents and spend some quality time with your children.

I agree with you TeresaMiller!!!! Parents need to take time with their kids and keep them occupied with positive things. I am a single parent and I try to do all I can with my kids so that they won't go a stray. My kids dad is always in and out of jail because of stupid things. His mother never took up the time with him and that she should have. I am determined that my kids are not going to be that way and I keep them focused on church and school. Parents let's do better.

I feel that what "real" men are in our community, should reach out to these children before it is too late. The blame game is easy, however it stops when someone takes the gumption to do something about this Pandemic. No one has to do what they do, however all know right from wrong, and these are the actions of poor houses arond the community. One will have to learn Gratitude and Entitlement. When we do all will be better, no matter how times are. Pray for the family and Hope that all will learn

I have to say that this year alone is a horrid dream that we, as black people need to get over. I ask that all families, during this holiday season, to examine all that is good, true, and real. I am a mother of a 10 year old son and God knows I would hate the day anyone would say that something is wrong. We as a colored race of people are the ones hurting all that is good in our communities, and no one has a fesible answer to these questions, but all have comments about this and that.

(Continued from first post) They have stolen this child’s father and nothing I tell her will make her smile, nothing anyone says to her can make the pain go away, What do you do? To watch a family and a community mourn the loss of two individuals in a matter of two hours saddens me deeply. To know there is nothing I can do to erase the pain that Briscoe’s nine year old daughter and family is going through, saddens me.

Yesterday I walked up on a nine year old girl, she looked up at me and her face was covered with pain and drenched with tears. When she finally opened her eyes, they were painfully red. I took her trembling hand, and looked her right in her face. I consoled this young tender being until the tears finally stopped, later I asked this young nine year old girl….” Are you okay?” and she said NO. What do you do? These killers clearly have no value of life.

I know its hard raising kids , expectly if ur alone. Look at the kids now what they are doing and ask yourself what can i do to helpYou talk about all the killing of young black kids . You would think that you woy\uld want it to stop , sometimes the kids is on there own case parents are either working or they just dont care as long as the kid is out of there face and they can so what they want.alot of times it is the parents fault ,cause they dont , hyst dont care.
