MPD Investigating Deadly Stabbing

Kendall Herold

Macon Police investigating two Macon murders in less than twelve hours.
Police have arrested a Macon man in connection with a Thursday morning murder.
39-year-old Ronald Shane Turner was arrested around 8:00 AM and charged with felony murder and parole violation.
According to Sergeant Zac Self with the Macon PD, turner allegedly stabbed 34-year-old William Leon King to death outside a residence on Marion Avenue around 12:30 Thursday morning.
Marion Avenue residents say the incident is unsettling.

"Well it kind of hurts. But I don't have anything to do with it. All I know is it happened down the road, and he came down here and died right there."

"I wanna get out of here so bad, I don't want to be next. I'm scared to death!"

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones says King died of a single stab wound to the chest.
He was pronounced dead at 1:30 AM at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
