Black Friday Shopping Hits Middle Georgia

Hundreds of middle Georgians took advantage of the Black Friday sales. Stores opened up as early as 5 a.m. Lines stretched in front of Target, reaching almost 400 people. They all have one common goal and that’s to get this year’s popular shopping items such as flat screen televisions, DVD players and the hottest toys.
“Lots of kids stuff, definitely a couple of things for me too. Got to have some type of reward for being out here this early,” says Tommy Underwood from Macon.
People raced to the electronics department in hopes of snatching their desired gifts. Some customers started their Christmas shopping on a bright note, while other didn’t.
“Microwaves, nope they were sold out, in less than 20 minutes” says one shopper.
Another one found out that the flat screens flew off the shelves in less than 13 minutes.
Angel Rozier from Forsyth didn’t have any luck in the electronics department either. “I’m actually looking for a little camcorder that looks like a phone but I can’t find it, because they’re so many people.”
Whether or not you found what you were looking for this Black Friday, the good news is, you still have time.
Wal-mart also started their Black Friday sales at 5 a.m., with The Macon Mall opening up just an hour later.
