New Trial For Man Accused of Killing Otis Redding III’s Dog

A Macon man sentenced to prison for killing the dog belonging to Otis Redding III has been granted a new trial.
Jeffrey Paul Jones has been convicted of killing Emax, a 9-year-old mixed pit bull belonging to Otis Redding III.
After being sentenced to six years in prison for killing the dog he believed was threatening his pet chickens Bibb County Superior Court Chief Judge Martha Christian granted Jones a new trial.
Judge Christian ruled the original judge failed to further instruct the jury about Jones failure to testify.

this kind of kangaroo court is what we need to eliminate. this was a political court ruling because of the name of otis redding. the dog was in his yard and killed his animals .. why wasn't the redding family charged.
