Dodge County Inmate Dies

Celeste Smith

An inmate in the Dodge County jail dies at a local hospital early Friday morning.

Public Information Officer Captain Tony Winborn tells FOX 24 News, 29-year old Vincent Maurice Fannin of Atlanta, died around 3:30 a.m. in the Intensive Care Unit at the Dodge County Hospital in Eastman.

Winborn says Fannin died as the result of complications from a terminal illness.

Fannin had been incarcerated in the Dodge County Jail on a state probation warrant since October after his probation was revoked. Winborn says Fannin was awaiting a bed space with the Georgia Department of Corrections.

now my heart goes out to the family, but to the p.o. that had him just sitting he needs to loose his job , what if it was his own child , if he has any, because that inmate, suit taylor maid for any body , and what could he have done so bad for him to just sit, hell he didn,t kill nobody. it makes no sense there are plenty morer sickly people that are incarcerated for volitation probation that should be at home on house arrest, instead of being behind bars. but they will reap what they so.
