Dublin Manufacturing Plan Receives Environmental Award

A Dublin manufacturing plant celebrating its "bright" future. Flexsteel Industries receiving an environmental stewardship award from Orion Envery Systems Thursday.
The furniture plant has made their lighting more energy efficient, saving 80 thousand dollars annually on the power bill.
Flexsteel also being recognized by "Keep Georgia Beautiful."
The company holding an awards ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments with its employees.
Marcia Dixon/GM, Flexsteel Industries Inc.:
"With what we're dealing with our environment, we've reduced our landfill, our waste, we're basically recycling everything. And it's just a wonderful thing. All our employees have been very supportive of the effort."
The plant's new lighting utilizes the sun and Dixon says it also creates a better work environment for employees.
