Fatal Shooting on Cedar Avenue

A carjacking in Macon Saturday ends in a fatal shooting on Cedar Avenue.
According to Sgt. Zac Self, around 4:20 pm, two males carjacked a Macon man at gun point on Dannenberg Ave and Holt Ave.
Macon Police officers then spotted the stolen vehicle near Montpelier Ave and Cedar Ave. Self says the suspects in the vehicle attempted to run over the police officers. He says the officers then fired multiple times, striking the vehicle and the driver. Self says the suspects then rammed their stolen vehicle into the police vehicle.
According to Self, the driver of the stolen vehicle was 18-year-old Bradley Gastin of Macon. Self says Gastin had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the Medical Center around 5:30 pm.
Self says a second suspect – 20-year-old Tommy Hardy Jr. – was taken into custody and could face the following charges: Hijacking a Motor Vehicle, 2 counts of Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. More charges are pending.

Bradley has been gonr for four months now and to read this comments still hurts anf=ger my soul to see how people could say so many hurtful things about my nephew. I don't care if your child is whit or black me and my family would have necer uttered the words goof=d job po po or I am glad they shot him. Please always try to walk in other peolpe shoes before you speak on something. I think it's very sad that his life ended the way it did he was truly wrong for what he did but the cops played God and just took his life. However, I can sit here and type about this all day but that does not change the fact the Shoc is gone and the Police that did this has something to live with everyday and I hope and pray that they get their lives right with God as I hope Shoc did before he took his last breath. You know me and my family don't want to pay them back that is God job and we cannot play God as they did. We cannot help Shoc any more but we still can help Tommy Loc and the other young.

It is sad when a life is violently taken especially a young life. Bradley aka Shock was shot 9 times and the police officers said it was self-defense...This was an execution by law enforcement officers. Black leaders, come to the aid of this family and help them convict the trigger-happy police officer that killed a young man.
