Jones County Fatal Car Accident

A pedestrian is killed Monday night in a car crash, on Gray Highway, in front of Greenwood Baptist church, about five miles east of Macon.

Captain Billy Mitchell with the Jones County Sheriff’s Office tells FOX 24 News the victim, 26-year old Danielle Hightower, was from Waynesboro.

Mitchell said, the crash involved two cars and it happened around 8:20 Monday night.

The accident remains under investigation.
