Death Penalty Sought in Houston Murder Case

Portia Lake

The Houston County District Attorney's Office will seek the death penalty for two men accused of the murder of a Warner Robins man.
Joshua Dupree Rounsoville and Stewart Calvin Brannon plead guilty during an arraignment in Houston Superior Court for the murder of Mario Smith on August 23, 2008.
On that date, Mario Smith, 25, was found dead inside a storage bin at the Glass Doctor store on Watson Boulevard.
Kelly R. Burke/Houston County D.A.:
“The grand jury set for two aggravated assault circumstances one being robbery and two being similar, the murder was connected with something of value. “
Joshua Rounsoville is already serving a life sentence in a separate robbery outside the Dairy Queen in Forsyth.
