The Family of a Slain Macon Man Asks the Community for Help in Solving his Murder

Chace Ambrose

On December 28th 2008, 24 year old Marico Williams had his life taken from him. Williams was driving down Eisenhower Parkway when his car was sprayed with bullets, one of which struck Williams in the head. The case remains unsolved.

Now friends and family of Marico Williams are canvassing the neighborhood with flyers, asking for the community's help is solving his murder.

"We're still looking for answers. The case is still open. And we're out asking for anyone who knows information, that includes passengers of any cars, witnesses, anyone with any information regarding his case to please contact crime stoppers or the detectives that's currently on his case.

He had just turned 24. He was the father of 4 kids and he was a very fun loving silly person. I mean he was kind of the center of all his siblings. I don't think we're really ever going to be at peace with his death considering the way it was done but as far as knowing who and why I think that will help ease us a little bit. " -Latoya Bronson/Marico's Sister

"There is a $2,000 reward at this time, so when you call Crimestoppers or even if you call the numbers that are listed on the flyers for the criminal investigation division. Anything that can assist the investigators, you don't have to leave a name and its just something that will give the family closure and assist in the investigation." -Robert Grabowski/S.W.A.T. Commander

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.

I do not appreciate... the picture that was put up on this clip... You put a jail picture up. Rico was not a thug and I do not want him to be potrayed as one. He was a good family man and a geat father to our 3 year old son.
