$19,000 worth of gear donated to Dublin Fire Department

NewsCentral Staff

The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has donated thousands of dollars worth of equipment to the Dublin Fire Department.

10 sets of bunker gear and 10 helmets worth nearly $19,000 has been given to the Dublin Fire Department. The donated gear will act as a personal protectant which is expected to improve the safety of the response team during operations.

The Foundation has donated more than $5.7 million to first responders and public safety entities across the nation, including more than $580,800 in Georgia.

Each restaurant recycles leftover, five-gallon pickle buckets and sells them to guests for $2. Donation canisters on register counters explain the non-profit’s mission and collect spare change, while the Round Up Program allows guests to “round up” their bill to the nearest dollar. All funds raised benefit the Foundation.
