Democratic Chair Announces Resignation

Democratic Chair Daryl Morton has announced his resignation.
In a Wednesday news release, Morton says that although his goals haven't changed, he just wanted to see this election cycle through and now feels he'll be more effective outside the committee.

Morton adds that he's still a life-long democrat and will continue to fight for things like Macon-Bibb consolidation and non-partisanship.

Morton took the Democratic Chair position in January 2011.
