Christian churches around the world are celebrating the diversity in Christianity this week. In 1908, the World Council of Churches established the week of January 18-25 as the week of prayer for christian unity.
Fifteen of the oldest churches in Macon are celebrating through the second annual Old City Flower Festival. St. Joseph's Catholic Church started the event last year and this year Christ Church is doing the honors.
Each of the 15 churches are displaying flower arrangements that coordinate with the church's stained glass windows.
The festival runs through January 25 and is free to the public. Next year's festival will be held at First Presbyterian Baptist Church.
