Lend a Helping Holiday Hand: The Angel Tree

Amber Jones

As the season of giving draws near, the need to help those in need grows stronger.

The Salvation Army is geared up to provide over 3 thousand children some of their needs this Christmas.

The Angel Tree provides the exact needs of families that have applied to participate in the program.

Peggy Steele adds that the visual aspect of the tree shows just how many children are in need. “It makes a big difference when you see all these tags and realize they represent a child."

The Angel Tree is located on the second level of the Macon Mall, outside of Macy’s Department Store.
People wishing to donate can pick an angel of the tree and return the Christmas donation to the Macon mall.
