Laurens County Slayings: Two Murders in Two Days

Two homicides in two days has Laurens County authorities looking for answers and suspects.

Just after midnight on January 27, 2013 the Dublin Police Department responded to a call on Mary Street. There they found 30 year old Dwight Scott dead. Police say he had been murdered during a home invasion. The suspects are described as three black males.

Two days later, another man was found dead in the middle of a Laurens County road. Deputies say they found 22 year old Darren Taylor murdered on Wayne Road on January 29, 2013.

When deputies arrived, they say he was lying here, non-responsive. Investigators are releasing few details surrounding it, but they classify this as a homicide as well.

No one has been charged with either murder, but Gary Range and Nathan Gunday have been detained in the Laurens County Law Enforcement Center as persons of interest in the Dwight Scott fatal home invasion murder.

According to the police report, a 12 and a 7 year old child were inside the home during the attack.
