Kathleen teen accused of killing her sister pleads not guilty

Carmen Collins pleads not guilty in a Houston County arraignment hearing.
Collins is the 17-year-old accused of killing her sister India Collins in their Kathleen home July 12, 2012. She also accused of setting their families home on fire that day.
In the hours after the fire, Collins was now where to be found. Then, Houston County Sheriff's investigators and police in Columbus arrested 17-year-old Carmen Kaneisha Collins without incident in Columbus.
Since that time, Collins has been detained in the Houston County Jail. She is being tried as an adult and was indicted on charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a firearm during a crime and arson.
Collins trial is expected to begin mid-year of 2013.
