Marriage has been the way of life for Kelly and Betty Fordham for the last 63 years.
They've been married since July 26 of 1949 and the Fordham's remember the day they met like it was yesterday.
"I went to church with a cousin of his. We we're having revival at Delburt Church,” said Betty Fordham.
They’ve been together so long that they complete each others thoughts.
"I went that night. I don't know why I went that night," adds Kelly.
From the moment he laid his eyes on her, he knew they'd be together forever. "I said that's going to be my wife," Kelly remembered.
"I didn't even know him at that time, we were sitting in church and we both looked at each other at the same time I guess," added Betty.
63 years, three kids, twenty grand kids and two great-grandchildren later, they're the blueprint to successful love and relationships.
"They are a great example of marriage being a commitment because they have just stuck through it through thick and thin, through everything," says Alisa Evans, the Fordham’s daughter.
They shared their beginning, their journey together and why it was all worth it.
"That we're together and we can go through everything together. We've never been separated or anything like that, no never," they added.
"It's a legacy you know. You can make it through anything, just give and take and love each other,"adds Alisa. Sharing the idea of giving and taking, a concept that lead these to love birds to pure bliss. "I say we've had a happy life, said Betty. “Yeah we have," Kelly agrees.
There you have it folks, happy wife, happy life.
